Search Osage County Released Inmates

Osage County released inmates may leave a live jail roster after bond, a court order, sentence completion, or a transfer to another authority. A search for Osage County released inmates must therefore identify which agency held the person and whether the last event was a true community release. Osage County released inmates from the Pawhuska jail are checked through county custody records, while people discharged from a state prison are checked through state corrections records. Court entries and release alerts can add context, but the originating custodian supplies the strongest proof.

Osage County Release Meanings

A release ends one agency's custody event. It does not always mean the person walked into the community. The Osage County Sheriff's Office can release a person on bond, after time served, following dismissal, or under another court order. It can also close its custody when another county, the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, the Osage Nation, the U.S. Marshals Service, or immigration authorities receive the person. That last group consists of transfers. The receiving agency becomes the next place to check.

Dick Conner Correctional Center adds a second custody system within Osage County. It is a state prison near Hominy, not a branch of the county jail. A parole or discharge from that institution belongs to an ODOC record. Location alone cannot choose the right database. The booking authority, facility, and identifying number should guide every Osage County released inmate search.

Discharge
The end of a specific jail or prison custody event or sentence status.
Time served
A release based on the time credited toward a local sentence.
Parole
Conditional community supervision after state imprisonment.
Probation
Court-ordered supervision that may occur without a prison stay.
Detainer
A notice that another authority may take custody.

Osage County Release Routes

The release type determines what record should exist next. A court docket may show the legal order, yet the jail record marks the physical departure. ODOC records control later state custody. The distinction is vital when a current booking card vanishes from view.

Custody eventWhat it meansBest next source
Bond or recognizanceLocal detention ends under approved release termsOCSO release record and Osage case docket
Dismissal or court orderA judge removes or changes local custody authorityFiled order plus OCSO departure record
Time served or sentence completionThe local term has been credited or completedJudgment, jail calculation, and release timestamp

Other agency pickupA tribal, federal, immigration, or county hold is acted uponOCSO transfer record and the receiving custodian
State parole or dischargeAn ODOC custody or sentence stage changesODOC documentation, PPB when relevant, and VINE

A single court case can also have more than one hold. Resolution of one charge may not authorize release on another. That is why the destination and releasing authority matter as much as the date.

Osage County Release Record Fields

No public OCSO sample proves that every field appears on one form. A focused request should instead identify the booking and ask for the existing custody records that show the event. The sheriff may return a booking sheet, release screen, transport entry, court order, or more than one item. Each record should be read in its own terms.

Requested fieldWhat it helps establish
Full name, aliases, and identifierWhether the record belongs to the intended person
Booking numberThe exact jail stay tied to the request
Admission date and timeWhen Osage County custody began
Charges or hold authoritiesWhy one case result may not end custody
Release date and timeWhen the person physically left that facility
Disposition or release codeWhether the event was bond, completion, court release, or another type
Receiving agency or destinationWhether the person entered another authority's custody

A code may need an agency definition. Do not turn an unfamiliar abbreviation into a conclusion. If a receiving authority is named, follow that transfer before describing the person as free from custody.

Request Osage County Release Records

The OCSO Records Division handles sheriff open-records requests. Main Office and Records can be reached at 918-287-3535, and Detention Booking can answer a fresh custody question at 918-287-4295. The published address is 900 Saint Paul Avenue, Pawhuska, OK 74056. Ask for electronic delivery and an estimate before staff incurs a cost.

  1. Give the person's full name, known identifiers, facility, and approximate booking and release dates.
  2. Ask for the booking number, admission time, release time, disposition, legal authority, and receiving agency if transferred.
  3. Request the booking photograph separately when it is needed and maintained.
  4. Use the sheriff's older open-records form if it loads, or the county public-record form as a backup.
  5. Save the request, response date, fee quote, and any denial or no-record explanation.

The Records page lists ordinary copies, reports, email, scan, or print at $0.25 per page and certified copies at $1 per page. A county bulletin also says an updated fee schedule took effect January 1, 2026 and may account for retrieval or direct costs. Ask which schedule and service apply. Inspection or an electronic copy may narrow the cost.

Osage County Release Record Law

The Oklahoma Open Records Act, 51 O.S. §§24A.1 and following, provides access to existing nonexempt public records. Law-enforcement records receive specific treatment in §24A.8. The Act does not force OCSO to create a custom daily release list that it does not maintain. It also does not erase protections for juvenile, sealed, medical, security-sensitive, investigatory, or other confidential material.

Public access has limits. A narrow request for an existing custody event is more useful than a demand for every record. Ask the custodian to identify the legal basis for any withheld portion.

Oklahoma expungement rules are chiefly found in 22 O.S. §§18 and 19. Eligibility and wait periods turn on the exact case and current law. A sealed or expunged public case may no longer appear in a name search. That absence should not be defeated through mirrors or treated as proof that no event occurred. The court and lawful records process set the boundary.

When Is Osage Bond Release Complete?

The sheriff's registered-bondsmen notice warns that a bond may fail if it is not prepared, notarized, or filed correctly. Filed cases require case numbers. A defective bond can also expose a defendant to re-arrest. This makes authorization and departure two separate events in Osage County.

A bond document may explain why release can occur, but it does not prove that detention staff finished the process. Check Detention Booking or request the physical-release timestamp. If another hold remains, an accepted bond on one case may lead to transfer rather than community release.

The official bondsmen warning and filing details are visible on the OCSO bond information page.

The warning supports a careful check of completed jail release instead of relying on paperwork alone.

Find Osage County Released Inmates

Start with the custody system, not a broad name search. The OCSO page covers current county bookings. OK Offender covers ODOC subjects. ODCR supplies Osage County court context, while BOP, ICE, and the holding facility or U.S. Marshals Service cover distinct federal stages. Each source answers only part of the question.

  1. For a recent Pawhuska booking, check the OCSO current-inmates page and save the exact name, booking time, charges, and VINE link from a likely match.
  2. If the card is absent, call Detention Booking and ask whether the last event was release or transfer. Absence alone proves neither.
  3. Check the matching Oklahoma VINE record for a status signal, then obtain the OCSO release record for durable proof.
  4. Search the Osage case in ODCR for bond, dismissal, judgment, sentence, credit, or revocation context.
  5. For a DCCC or other state prisoner, use OK Offender and ODOC documentation. Add PPB records only when parole is relevant.
  6. Follow BOP, ICE, USMS, tribal, DOC, or another county when the OCSO record identifies a handoff.
A missing roster card is a lead, not a release record. The person may have bonded out, transferred, or moved into another custody system.

The official OCSO roster pictured below identifies itself as a current-inmates product and shows booking cards rather than a released-person archive.

Its filter and person-specific VINE links can start a match, but the cards do not publish a release date, release reason, or 24-hour category.

Osage Release Records in ODCR

The Osage County Court Clerk directs online users to ODCR, and Osage appears in the portal's district-court selector. Search the person's name, choose Osage, open the correct criminal matter, and read the actual filed entries. Bond, dismissal, judgment, time-served language, probation, and revocation can explain why legal custody changed.

The clerk keeps district proceedings at 600 Grandview, Room 304, Pawhuska, and can be reached at 918-287-4104 for general inquiries. A docket filing time is not necessarily the time a jail door opened. Multiple cases or holds may also remain after one matter resolves. OCSO still controls proof of physical departure from its jail.

The ODCR court portal shown below is the local court-history layer for an Osage County release check.

The portal can preserve case context after a short-lived booking card is gone, but it cannot certify the physical release hour.

Osage County Release Supervision

Parole and probation are not interchangeable. The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board decides or recommends parole under its process, while ODOC supervises parolees. Probation can begin under a court sentence without any stay at DCCC. A PPB grant or favorable recommendation is also not a gate-out record; ODOC must still complete release processing.

The dedicated Pawhuska probation and parole office serves Osage County at 520 Leahy Avenue and 918-604-3105. Community Sentencing coverage for Osage is routed to a different unit in Stillwater. The two units are not interchangeable, and the correct contact depends on the supervision type.

DCCC also has a local reentry detail. The Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth describes a Second Chance Families Program for eligible parents through September 2026, with parenting education, reunification visits, and family reintegration. It is facility-specific support, not proof of release and not a service that can be promised to every person.

Osage Release Alerts and Federal Checks

Oklahoma VINE offers a state person search and notification controls for participating agencies. OCSO current cards include person-specific VINELink links, which provides a practical bridge from a matched booking. Confirm the reporting agency and record in the live portal. A VINE custody change is a useful signal, but it is not an archival release certificate and does not prove that another agency did not take custody.

Federal systems are divided by custody stage. The BOP inmate locator covers federal prisoners from 1982 forward and may show “Released” or “Not in BOP Custody.” Those labels mean only that BOP no longer holds the person. ICE's detainee locator is for current immigration detention, and a missing result is not proof of release. USMS has no equivalent public historical locator for federal pretrial custody, so the holding facility or relevant district must be identified.

No BOP, ICE, or USMS detention facility was verified inside Osage County. If an OCSO record names one of those agencies as the receiver, continue the chain there rather than calling the county transfer a community release.

Osage County Release Handoffs

Osage County crosses county, state, and tribal authority. OCSO cards may show a hold for DOC or Osage Nation. A hold signals another authority's interest; it does not predict whether someone will walk out or be transported. Ask for the receiving authority and transfer time. The Osage Nation Law Enforcement Department may be relevant to a current tribal handoff, but an older detention-services agreement must not be presented as the current destination.

Conflicting dates often describe different events: a court order, bond filing, physical jail exit, VINE alert, receiving-agency intake, or website refresh. Label each by source. For county departure, use the OCSO physical-release timestamp. For state discharge, use the ODOC custody event.

DCCC Release Database Boundary

Dick Conner Correctional Center creates a firm database boundary inside Osage County. Although the prison is near Hominy, it is operated by ODOC and uses the statewide OK Offender locator and state records route. A transport between ODOC institutions is not community release, even when a public facility name changes.

The reverse is also true. A Pawhuska jail stay that never entered state custody may leave no useful ODOC history. Geography cannot select the correct record system. The booking or prison authority that held the person at the relevant moment supplies the release, discharge, or transfer record.

Osage Released Versus In Custody

The same name can require more than one system check. A current roster answers a present-custody question. A release record answers what ended that jail stay. Court, parole, and federal sources add legal or agency-specific context, but none should be made to speak beyond its own records.

SourceBest questionWhat it cannot prove alone
OCSO current inmatesIs the booking card visible now?Why or when an absent person left
OCSO release recordWhen and how did county custody end?Whether later custody also ended
Oklahoma VINEDid a participating agency report a change?A certified or permanent release history
ODCRWhat court event affected legal authority? The exact physical departure time
OK Offender and ODOCWhat is the state-custody path?A county-only jail release
BOP or ICEWhat does that federal system report?Release from every other authority

Note: Preserve the source, event label, and observation time whenever two systems return different custody or release dates.

Osage County Release Facilities

Two verified adult custody settings require their own release paths. The primary facility is the sheriff-operated Osage County Jail / Detention Center at 900 Saint Paul Avenue in Pawhuska. Its roster is current-only. OCSO Booking gives an immediate status check, while Records supplies the lasting county custody record.

Dick Conner Correctional Center is an ODOC men's state prison near Hominy. Its discharge, parole, transfer, and supervision records belong to the state system. A county jail page cannot confirm a DCCC departure, and a DCCC search cannot explain a county-only bond release.

No separate current adult municipal, tribal, federal, ICE, or USMS facility with its own verified Osage County release-search system was added. That prevents a legal authority or old agreement from being mistaken for a current detention site.
