Find Osage Inmate Release Dates

An Osage County inmate release date depends first on who holds the person and why. A pretrial jail detainee may have no scheduled date because bond, court orders, and other holds control the next step. A sentenced state prisoner has a calculated term, yet Oklahoma treats release-date information as confidential in many cases and calls any date tentative. To answer “when will they be released,” separate the Pawhuska county-jail route from the Dick Conner Correctional Center and ODOC route. Then verify the final custody event with the agency that holds the record.

Osage Scheduled and Actual Release

A projected date is an estimate based on the sentence and the credit information available at that point. It is not the same as the physical departure recorded by a jail or prison. Oklahoma's ODOC information page says any release date is tentative. Earned-credit level, misconduct, achievement credits, court action, parole processing, and a hold from another authority can all affect the custody path.

For an OCSO detainee awaiting trial, there may be no sentence-based date at all. Bond can authorize release, but the jail must finish its checks and determine whether another hold applies. A court may dismiss a charge while another case keeps the person confined. The Osage County release record should identify the actual event date, time, disposition, and receiving authority when a transfer took place.

Scheduled versus actual: A tentative calculation forecasts a possible date. The originating jail or ODOC custody event confirms what happened.

Osage Release Date Custody Lanes

Osage County has two verified adult facilities, and each uses a different record system. The Osage County Jail / Detention Center is operated by OCSO in Pawhuska. Dick Conner Correctional Center near Hominy is an ODOC state prison. A person can also leave the county jail through a transfer to ODOC, Osage Nation, another county, USMS, or ICE. The end of OCSO custody may therefore begin the next agency's custody.

Custody settingDate sourceWhat to confirm

Geography does not select the right database. DCCC sits in Osage County, but its dates do not belong to the sheriff's current-inmate page. A Pawhuska jail stay that never enters ODOC may have no useful state-prison result.

Find an Osage Release Date

Start from the most specific identifier available. A DOC number is stronger than a common name for a state prisoner. A booking number and case number are stronger for a county detainee. Keep each date labeled by event so a bond filing, court order, VINE alert, and jail departure are not collapsed into one time.

  1. Identify the custodian. Determine whether the person is at OCSO, DCCC or another ODOC prison, or held for another authority.
  2. For a recent county booking, check the OCSO current roster. Its absence only means no card was visible at that check.
  3. Call Detention Booking at 918-287-4295. Ask whether the person remains housed there and whether the last event was community release or transfer.
  4. Open the Osage case in ODCR. Read bond, sentence, time-served, dismissal, and hold-related entries as legal context, not as the gate-out timestamp.
  5. For DCCC or another state prison, search OK Offender by DOC number or name and date of birth. Use alias and similar-sounding options only when needed.
  6. Request the releasable custody or discharge documentation from OCSO or ODOC if the public result is absent, unclear, or conflicts with another source.

The broader Osage County released inmates lookup explains how VINE, court records, and agency requests fit around this date check.

Oklahoma Release Date Limits

ODOC does not promise a simple public projected-date field. Its official FAQ says an inmate's release date is confidential unless the requester has a legitimate need, with judicial and law-enforcement examples. It also says the inmate receives a monthly “number of days remaining to serve” and may ask the facility correctional records officer or case manager for help. That internal monthly figure should not be presented as a public date available for every person.

The public OK Offender form was verified through its search screen, but CAPTCHA prevented confirmation of a former prisoner's result labels. It would be inaccurate to promise a “Projected Release Date,” “Tentative Release Date,” “Discharged,” photo, or supervision field in each public record. Use only the labels visible on the matched result.

The official ODOC offender-information page gives the confidentiality and tentative-date warning. Its captured page below documents that state-specific limit.

Osage County inmate release date guidance from ODOC

For a DCCC prisoner, the facility records officer, case manager, and ODOC records route are more authoritative than a date inferred from a web search.

Note: Explain a lawful, purpose-neutral need in a records request, but expect confidential details to remain withheld.

Osage ODOC Search Fields

OK Offender accepts a DOC number, first name, last name, and date of birth. It also offers “Include alias data in search” and “Include similar sounding names.” A CAPTCHA and disclaimer stand between the form and results. The landing notice says the product changed data sources and that ODOC is working through unanticipated issues, so a missing or odd result needs a fallback check.

Osage State Earned Credits

Oklahoma earned credits for state prisoners are governed by 57 O.S. §138. Credit class, misconduct, and achievement credits can affect the administrative count. Credits change the time calculation under the law; they do not rewrite the court's sentence. Because the current statute controls and numerical rates may change, no flat daily or monthly calculator should be applied to an Osage County name.

The “85% rule” in 21 O.S. §13.1 is also limited. It applies to offenses enumerated in that statute, not to every Oklahoma prisoner. For a covered conviction, the law restricts eligibility and prevents credits from lowering time served beneath the threshold. Verify the exact conviction and current statutory text. A percentage alone still cannot predict the date because holds, credit loss, parole processing, and other lawful events may intervene.

County jail terms follow a separate path. Research found no verified Osage County jail good-time schedule or weekend-release rule. Use the judgment, lawful credit for time served, OCSO administration, and any other holds. Do not import ODOC's state-prison framework into a Pawhuska booking.

Why Osage Release Dates Change

A date conflict often reflects different events rather than a bad record. A judge may sign an order before the jail processes it. VINE may alert after the custody system updates. A receiving prison can record intake after the county marks a transfer. Label the source and event before comparing times.

Request an Osage Release Timestamp

For a Pawhuska booking, ask OCSO for an existing custody record rather than asking staff to create a projected-date report. A focused request should give the person's full name, useful identifiers, the approximate booking date, and the Osage County Jail / Detention Center. Request the booking number, admission time, release date and time, release disposition or reason, legal authority, and receiving agency when the last event was a transfer.

OCSO's Records Division lists 918-287-3535 for Main Office Records. Detention Booking at 918-287-4295 is the faster current-status route. The Records page lists 25 cents per page for copies, reports, email, scan, or print and $1 per page for certified copies. A county bulletin also says a revised fee schedule took effect January 1, 2026, so request an estimate and the basis for any charge before ordering.

The sheriff's form is hosted on an older OCSO domain, and a general county form is also available. Route jail custody records to the sheriff, court orders to the Osage County Court Clerk, and state-prison records to ODOC. Existing confidential, sealed, medical, juvenile, security-sensitive, or other exempt details may be redacted or withheld.

Reconcile Osage Release Date Conflicts

A court filing date can precede physical release. Bond posting can precede acceptance. The current roster may refresh after the jail event, and VINE may send its alert after the source system changes. A receiving ODOC institution can log intake after OCSO records the county transfer. None of those times should be averaged or silently substituted for another.

Make a short event log with source, date, time, agency, and event label. For county departure, OCSO's custody timestamp answers when the person left that jail. For state discharge, ODOC controls the custody event. A PPB vote is a decision date, while an ODCR filing is court activity. When two official records still conflict, preserve both labels and ask the office that created each record.

Confirm Osage Actual Release

A pending date becomes historical fact only when the proper custodian records the event. For OCSO, ask for release date and time, disposition, legal authority, and receiving agency if transferred. For ODOC, request releasable discharge, transfer, or supervision documentation with the DOC number. A VINE notification is useful for a timely update, but it is not archival certification.

The VINELink Release Check can help monitor one matched record. If a VINE timestamp conflicts with a jail, court, or ODOC date, report each event separately and ask the originating agency to resolve the difference.
