Partner Search Terms
A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the independent provider that operates that tool. We do not store or log those query terms on our own systems. The provider's policy and terms control its handling of submitted data.
Messages Sent to Us
If you send an email or contact-form message, we keep the message and the details needed to answer it. We do not share that correspondence outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Information Collected Automatically
Basic technical and usage details may be recorded when a page loads. They help operate the site and show how it performs.
- Your Internet Protocol address.
- Your browser name and version.
- Your device type and operating system.
- The pages visited and time spent on them.
- The referring website, when one is supplied.
- The date and time of the request.
Cookies
Cookies and similar tools may be used to understand visits and site use. You can block or delete cookies through browser settings, though a blocked cookie may change how some site or partner features work.
How Information Is Used
Collected information supports a small set of operating needs. We may use it to:

Links and Advertising Systems
Pages link to OCSO and ODOC sources, courts, federal locators, VINE, public-record resources, and third-party search tools. Once you follow an outbound link, the destination's privacy policy controls its collection and use of information.
Some advertising partners may use their own technology to recognize activity across multiple sites and select interest-based advertising. That processing occurs on the partner's systems rather than this site's own records.
Who May Receive Information
We do not sell personal information. Limited information may be handled by the service categories that make the site and its tools function.
- Search partners that receive and process a submitted query.
- Analytics providers that measure page use and performance.
- Advertising networks that deliver and measure advertisements.
- Law-enforcement or other government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Security Is Best Effort
We use ordinary safeguards intended to protect information from improper access or loss. No website, network, transmission, or storage method is fully secure. We therefore cannot promise that a breach or other security failure will never occur.
Use by Minors
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has submitted information, a parent or guardian may use the Get in Touch page to request its deletion.
Your Information Choices
Subject to applicable law and the limits of information we actually hold, you may:
- Ask for a copy of personal information held about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Ask that personal information be erased.
- Opt out of certain processing where that choice applies.
Requests can be sent through the Get in Touch page. Search queries sent directly to a partner must be addressed to that provider because we do not keep those terms.
Changes to This Notice
We may revise this Privacy Notice as site practices, vendors, or legal duties change. The new wording becomes effective when posted here, together with an updated effective date where appropriate.
